Every day, women walk into my studio carrying stories most people never hear.
Stories about confidence.
Motherhood.
Weight gain.
Relationships.
Grief.
Starting over.
Feeling invisible.
Not recognizing the woman looking back in the mirror.
Some conversations happen while we're choosing outfits.
Some happen while I'm adjusting a necklace or fixing a pose.
Some happen long after the camera has been put away.
Those conversations stay between me and my clients.
But they've taught me something I carry into every session.
I can't ask someone else to be vulnerable if I'm not willing to be vulnerable too.
Trust Comes Before the Camera
People often assume photography is what I sell.
It isn't.
Photography is simply the tool.
Trust is what makes everything else possible.
I can teach posing.
I know lighting.
I know how to create magazine-worthy portraits.
But none of that matters if the woman standing in front of my camera doesn't feel safe enough to simply be herself.
That kind of trust isn't built because my portfolio is beautiful.
It's built because people know they're walking into a space where they don't have to pretend.

Not because I have everything figured out.
But because I know what it's like to need someone else's honesty before finding the courage to share your own.
Social Media Rarely Shows the Whole Story
Social media has a funny way of making everyone look like they've got it all together.
You see the launches.
The fully booked calendars.
The awards.
The celebrations.
But you rarely see the doubt.
The slow seasons.
The tears.
The moments you question whether you can keep going.
I've never wanted my business to feel like that.
I want people to know they're getting the whole person.
The wins.
The losses.
The lessons.
And everything in between.
Because entrepreneurship isn't for the weak.
There have been days I've wanted to quit.
Days comparison made me question myself.
Days I wondered if I was doing enough.
If you've ever built something from the ground up, you probably know exactly what I'm talking about.
Vulnerability Changed More Than My Business
For a long time, I thought I needed to look like I had everything together.
Then I stopped pretending.
I talked about my recovery.
I talked about confidence.
I talked about rebuilding.
I talked about feeling lost.
I talked about finding my way back.
Something unexpected happened.
My business didn't become weaker.
My community became stronger.
Because people don't connect with perfection.
They connect with honesty.
They connect with someone who says...
"Me too."
Photography Isn't What I Sell
Photography isn't what I sell.
Trust is what makes everything else possible.
That realization changed the way I approach every session.
Women don't come to me because they know how to pose.
They don't come because they already feel confident.
They come because they're looking for someone who sees them beyond their insecurities.
That trust is something I never take for granted.
It's the foundation of every conversation, every session, and every portrait I create.
What Keeps Me Going
When people ask what keeps me moving forward, the answer has never really changed.
My daughter.
My husband.
My family.
My faith.
They're the reason I keep showing up, even when entrepreneurship feels heavy.
They remind me that success isn't measured only by numbers.
It's measured by the life you're building and the people you're building it for.
