HOW IS YOUR PORTRAIT SESSION DIFFERENT?

Most sessions end with a gallery link. Mine is planned, directed, and finished.We talk before the date so we both know what we're making. I light it, and I direct every part of it — stance, hands, chin, expression. You don't have to know how to pose.You see your images the same day, full size, while it's still fresh. Then we design the artwork together, and I retouch every image myself.The photographs are the middle of the process, not the end of it.

HOW MUCH DO MOST CLIENTS SPEND?

Sessions begin at $650. That's the starting point, not the whole picture.Most clients choose artwork after they've seen the images — albums, folios, framed pieces — and that's where the number moves. Somewhere between $1,500 and $2,500 all in is typical.You'll know the full range at your consultation, before you commit to anything. Payment plans are available.

Question 3

WHAT IF I'M NOT PHOTOGENIC?

Almost everyone says this, usually in the first two minutes of the call.What people usually mean is that nobody has ever directed them. Being photographed well is a skill — it's mine, not yours. I'll tell you exactly what to do the entire time.Look through the galleries on this site. Not one of those people walked in knowing how to pose.

WILL YOU PHOTOSHOP MY IMAGES?

YASSS! You will receive a signature DM retouch. You will receive a high end retouch that allows you to look as if you belong in a high end magazine. What I won't do is change your face or reshape your body into someone else's. You should recognize yourself.

Question 5

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY CUSTOM ARTWORK?

About three to four weeks from the day you approve the design.Everything is made to order and I check each piece before it goes out. If something needs to land by a specific date — a birthday, an anniversary, a gift — tell me at your viewing and I'll build the timeline around it.

WHEN WILL I BE ABLE TO VIEW MY IMAGES?

The same day.We go from your session straight to the viewing, on the screen, full size. You see everything worth showing while it's still fresh, and you choose what you want to keep.Retouched files follow within two weeks.

WHAT DAYS DO YOU SHOOT?

Sessions run Tuesday-Saturday, with some evening availability.Studio dates fill first, so if you have a date in mind, reach out early — I'm usually booking a few weeks out.

WHAT DO I WEAR?

You'll get a guide after you book — colors, shapes, what photographs well and what fights the camera.But here's the shortcut most people end up using: send me photos of your options and I'll pick. I'd rather do that than have you standing in your closet at midnight second-guessing yourself.Bring more than you think you need. Two or three looks is normal, and one of them should be something you already feel like yourself in.

CAN I BRING SOMEONE?

Yes — one person.Bring the friend who makes you laugh, not the one with opinions about your outfit. You'll know the difference.Some people want the company, some focus better without it. Either is fine, and you can decide the day of.
