Bring the stole, bring the outfit you actually want to be photographed in, and bring a second one. These are the pictures your mom is going to frame.

Most couples arrive stiff and leave laughing.
That's a direction problem, not a chemistry problem, and it's mine to solve. Engagement, anniversary, or no occasion at all.
